About The Event
Culture Kitchen returns with a special collaboration between Culture Connection AZ and NAU’s Global Engagement and Language Learning Center (GELL).
Chef Michael Rulon will guide participants through a hands-on Vietnamese cooking experience while also exploring how French colonization influenced Vietnamese cuisine and helped shape some of the foods and techniques associated with it today.
As we cook together, participants will have the opportunity to learn not only a new recipe, but also more about the history, culture, and global influences behind the food.
The featured recipe is naturally vegan and gluten-free, with the exception of the accompanying sauce, which is not gluten-free.
NAU’s GELL Center supports language learning and global engagement through conversation practice, language exchange, cultural activities, and other opportunities that help students connect across languages and cultures. NAU In-Site Network
As always, Culture Kitchen is designed to bring people together through food, conversation, and shared learning. No advanced cooking experience is needed.
Registration is limited to keep the experience hands-on and interactive, so please register only if you are able to attend.
