About The Event
To make Fried Rice and Chicken Adobo you will need:
Ingredients
1-2 cups of leftover rice
2 lbs chicken thighs/breast
3 dried bay leaves
8 tablespoons of soy sauce
4 tablespoons vinegar
5 crushed garlic cloves
3 tablespoons cooking oil
1 teaspoon of peppercorns
Chef’s Notes
This traditional Filipino dish uses chicken as the main protein, but you can substitute fried tofu or another similar textured alternative if desired.
This recipe calls for leftover rice. Fresh rice could be substituted as well. For optimal results when using fresh rice, these are some suggestions to mimic the “day old” texture:
