About The Event
Ingredients
3 ¼ cups white beans (cannellini or white northern), cooked
1 onion, sliced into thin rings
½ onion
2 tablespoons vegetable oil or more as desired
2-3 garlic cloves to taste, grated
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon sugar (brown or white)
Fine salt
Sea salt
Water
1-2 bay leaves (optional)
Sweet or smoked paprika to taste (optional)
Chef’s Notes
If you choose to use dry beans, please make sure that they are cooked before the event begins. You can also use canned beans to save time
While this recipe uses a food processor, you can also use a blender, or even a whisk! Food processors are not considered a kitchen staple in Romania
This dish is best served with bread, and can be eaten as an appetizer or entree
The recipe is vegan, dairy free, and gluten free!
