About The Event
Join us for a community dialogue event called "What is the Future of Peace?". Our discussion will be led by Dr. Bridget Conley, Research Director at the World Peace Foundation and Associate Research Professor at the Fletcher School of Global Affairs, Tufts University. She will briefly present her current research, which asks what peace will look like in our collective future. We will spend the rest of the session engaged in a community dialogue to share our own thoughts, ideas, and experiences about what the future of peace will require, which will help inform ongoing research.
Dr. Conley frames this conversation in more detail below:
"The global peace-making framework has shattered from the top down. Most efforts to reimagine the larger peace agenda are weighed down by the political, institutional and intellectual legacies of the past era. There are things to be preserved or rescued from the recent past, for sure. But we need to be more radical in rethinking world peace—especially in its global paradigm."
